About The Shift

Impact Amplified: The Shift isn’t your typical awards night. On 18th November at The Steel Yard, London, students will take the lead, celebrating the organisations, professionals, and young people driving real impact.This is your chance to be recognised and celebrated on the day, surrounded by peers, changemakers, and students who are shaping the future. Whether you’re a Springpod partner or not, if your nomination is successful, you can attend the evening and be part of the celebration - sharing in stories of impact, inspiration, and opportunity.

Awards Open for Self-Nomination

All awards are free to enter and open to Springpod partners and non-partners alike. If you’re recognised, you can attend The Shift and be celebrated on the day. You must enter your nomination by 17th October 2025. Whether you’re a not-for-profit or an individual speaker, a start-up or a global organisation, a university or a community initiative — you can be recognised at The Shift.

Trailblazer in Early Careers
For organisations leading the way in attracting, developing, and supporting early talent. This award celebrates innovative programmes, mentoring schemes, apprenticeships, or initiatives that are transforming the early careers landscape and creating real opportunities for young people.

Game-Changer in Careers Content
Recognising standout campaigns, virtual experiences, or digital resources that have inspired and guided young people in making informed career decisions. This award honours creativity, reach, and measurable impact in helping students explore opportunities.

Future-Ready Employer
Awarded to an organisation making a significant impact in preparing young people for the future of work. Whether through upskilling programmes, work experience opportunities, or forward-thinking strategies, this award highlights organisations equipping students with the skills and confidence to thrive.

Young People’s Champion – Higher Education
Celebrates initiatives that support students’ journeys into higher education and beyond into careers. This award recognises programmes, partnerships, or individual efforts that remove barriers, provide guidance, and open doors for students from diverse backgrounds.

Careers Professional of the Year – School & College
Recognising exceptional careers leaders and advisers, improving access and outcomes for young people. This award highlights those who go above and beyond to provide guidance, inspiration, and practical opportunities that make a measurable difference.

Who can enter the awards?
Anyone! Awards are free to enter and open to Springpod partners and non-partners alike.
Do I need to be invited to the awards night to nominate?
No, you can nominate yourself or your organisation. If your nomination is recognised, you can attend The Shift and be celebrated on the night.
Is it free to enter?
Yes. All nominations are completely free.
What’s the deadline for nominations?
All self-nomination awards close Wednesday 29th October 2025.
How are entries judged?
Entries are assessed in two stages: Pre-screening: Structured data is used to rank entries fairly and consistently. Human judging: A panel of educators, industry leaders, and young people review the strongest entries for credibility and storytelling. Impact at scale is weighted highly, but smaller changemakers with powerful stories will also be recognised.
If I were to win and attend the awards night, when would that be?
The awards night will take place on 18th November 2025 at The Steel Yard, London. Winners will be celebrated in a student-led, high-energy evening of connection, inspiration, and impact.
Do I have to be a Springpod partner to enter?
No. We welcome entries from any organisation, regardless of whether you have worked with Springpod or not.
