AXA UK has launched a new suite of programmes on Springpod, giving young people across the UK a structured route into one of the country's leading insurance and financial services employers, with no degree required.
Opening doors beyond the obvious
The programmes are designed to challenge the assumption that a career in financial services is only for certain kinds of people. AXA UK employs across a wide range of functions, from claims and underwriting to data, technology, and customer operations, and the Springpod programmes are built to make that breadth visible to young people who may never have considered the sector as an option.
Since launching at the start of June, the programmes have already engaged over 1,100 young people and generated nearly £350,000 of social value, reflecting both the appetite for this kind of opportunity and the scale of AXA UK's commitment to early talent engagement.
Access from anywhere in the UK
AXA UK’s Virtual Work Experience programme gives participants an introduction to the business, its culture and all the career paths available. Delivered online, all young people can take part no matter their location or circumstances. It can fit around their commitments and requires no cost for travel.
This means opportunities reach the young people who need it the most. A young person in a smaller town or who is unable to travel has the same opportunity to explore a career at AXA UK on the same terms as someone who lives in a major city.
Built for the long term
The programmes are not a one-off engagement exercise. By meeting young people at the point of exploration, before they have committed to a career path and regardless of whether they hold a degree, AXA UK is widening its reach and connecting with a broader range of talent than traditional recruitment routes allow.
